Positions Available...

We currently have a position for:

ANNUAL GIFTS OFFICER

The Annual Gifts Officer, reporting to the Founder, will organize and execute MuttShack’s Foundation's annual gifts fund raising for the greater Los Angeles area.

Major Responsibilities:
· Develops and coordinates solicitation and cultivation strategies creating annual fund donors
· Designs monthly marketing program and supporting literature and web content
· Designs events which appropriately reflects the foundation
· Works with fund development team to identify potential major gift prospects
· Manages gift acceptance and donor acknowledgement processes
· Coordinates annual grant writing and foundation giving plan
· Ensures accurate financial reporting of fund development efforts
· Manages donor and gift records

Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Philanthropy, Fund Development, Marketing or related field and two years of development experience. 

· Significant knowledge of fund development and event planning are a must. 
· Persuasive writing skills are highly valued and a submission of writing samples is required. 
· Experience with annual fund cultivation
· Previous success in event planning
· Proven success in cultivating and soliciting gifts
· Campaign organization skills with the ability to lead volunteers
· Previous grant writing experience
· Exceptional PC skills. Database management preferred. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required.
  Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge is a plus.
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
· Ability to work well within a team

COMPENSATION:

The NHF approved "Harvester Plan" will be the income guide.

Employees find that NHF will place 20% of what you raise for the foundation in a Special Nominating Account (SNA), that NHF sets up for you. 

The hourly rate is agreed upon and approved by the NHF.  Upon submission and verification of the hours worked the NHF will pay you taxable income until the SNA account runs dry.  Minimum - $25 per hour.  Hourly rates above $25 must be justified and approved by NHF.

Willingness to Receive Income
The employee must be ready, willing and able to receive compensation.  We will accept no volunteers for this position. 

NHF and MuttShack believe that people should be paid a reasonable compensation for his or her time and talent.
